Frame Organization
In the EAM Web Dashboard, frames are organized based on their width and by rearranging frames using the drag and drop feature.
- Frames are ordered left to right and top to bottom.
- Administrators can adjust frame width. More information about Frame Width
- In Design Mode, you can click on a Frame heading to drag and drop the Frame to a new placement on the dashboard.
- The system ensures that a frame will not extend past the right side of the dashboard. If a frame will extend past the edge of the dashboard due to its width and placement next to other frames, the frame is bumped down to the next row.
- Lucity Web will use frames to fill each row. With the exception of the final row, the system will not allow a row to be partially filled unless the next frame in the sequence has a width that will not fit in the row.
Example: In this first example you can see each frame labeled with its order. This dashboard:
- Displays Frame 1
- Displays Frame 2
- Doesn't have enough room to display Frame 3 so it goes to a new line.
- Displays Frame 3
- Displays Frame 4
- Displays Frame 5
Example: In this example the original Frame 2 is moved down to the 5th position and is now Frame 5. The other Frames renumbered accordingly. The dashboard:
- Displays Frame 1
- Displays Frame 2
- Doesn't have enough room to display Frame 3 so it goes to a new line.
- Displays Frame 3
- Displays Frame 4
- Doesn't have enough room to display Frame 5 so it goes to a new line.
